Service Technician – Vehicle Wash

The Kärcher Senior Service Technician is an Auckland based position responsible for providing service assistance & support to both End User and internal customers to ensure the maximum utilisation and working life of Kärcher Professional products. This is how you WOW: Install, operate and service Vehicle Wash Systems, in addition to providing technical support and training to customers. Provide technical support, to the highest level. Perform inspections, repairs, adjustments and certifications across a variety of equipment from Vehicle Wash systems to Floor Care machinery, Water Blasters to industrial Vacuums. Liaise with customers and provide the high level of professionalism and service associated with the company's brand. Perform onsite work at clients' premises as and when required, including installations, repairs and routine maintenance. Out-of-town / overnight / weekend work as and when required. The role directly reports to the National Technical & Industrial Manager with a dotted reporting line to the NZ Service Manager. Mentor and develop other Technicians on the servicing of Kärcher’s Professional range. Ensure effective use of Kärcher’s CRM system for maintenance of customer and equipment information. Effective planning and scheduling of maintenance work. Maintain the workshop in a safe and orderly manner. Operate a variety of hand, power and shop tools Be available for after-hours call outs if required. Perform other duties that may be assigned. Requirements: 3+ years’ experience working as a Service Technician, preferably within the cleaning equipment industry. Previous experience in servicing mechanical, electrical and automotive machinery as well as diagnostics and diesel motor experience is essential. An understanding of environmentally-friendly wash systems and the latest water reclamation technologies (will be tested at interview). Extensive technical and service-based knowledge across a range of cleaning equipment (will be tested at interview). Strong interpersonal skills with a confident and professional client-centric approach. Advanced strengths in diagnostic work, fault finding and problem resolution (will be tested at interview). Knowledge of safety rules and practices as applied to repair shops and principles and functions of mechanical equipment. Strong planning and job scheduling abilities. Knowledge of H&S practices and procedures. Great communication skills. Must possess a clean current driver’s license. Current ERB registration and EST license is preferred. Additional Details: Proof of New Zealand citizenship of residence status is required, along with a cover letter demonstrating how each of the listed requirements are met.
