Interact confidently with a diverse range of people. Are passionate and enthusiastic about providing a safe aquatic environment for all. Are available early mornings, late afternoons, and weekends. Role Description This role is primarily responsible for day-to-day operational tasks that ensure pool facilities run effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will: Carry out customer service and administration duties. Perform basic food preparation and service. Inspect and monitor pool facilities to identify and respond to faults and hazards. Undertake facility patrols to monitor activities of patrons and enforce pool rules. Provide first aid, and administer CPR as required. Conduct pool water sampling, pool, and facility cleaning. Alternative Opportunity - If you already hold a Pool Lifeguard qualification or are eager to acquire one with Council's backing, we are also recruiting for Pool Attendant Level 2 positions! Position Criteria Council’s preferred candidates will ultimately possess a range of the following qualifications, experience, skills, and knowledge: Current and valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) qualification or the ability to acquire. Current and valid NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal Check. Safe Food Handling Certificate or the ability to acquire. Proficient customer service skills including the ability to respond to enquiries, build rapport, manage complaints, and resolve conflict. Previous experience with point of sales and cash handling and/or basic food service. Previous experience cleaning and presenting facilities. Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and make decisions independently. On-the-job training and support will be provided for all successful candidates.
