Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on some of New Zealand's most significant construction and infrastructure projects? Our client is a highly regarded international cost consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering independent commercial advice across the building, property and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With the possible option to be based in any of the major New Zealand cities... This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced and collaborative team, delivering projects from early feasibility through to final account across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, infrastructure and specialist developments. The Opportunity As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of projects, build long-term client relationships and provide commercially focused advice throughout the project lifecycle. You'll enjoy genuine responsibility, exposure to major developments and the opportunity to mentor junior team members while continuing to develop your own career. Key Responsibilities Preparing feasibility studies and cost plans Cost estimating and budget preparation Design phase cost management and cost checking Value engineering and commercial advice Procurement and tender management Tender analysis and contract negotiations Financial reporting and cost control Assessment of variations and progress payments Cashflow forecasting Final account negotiations and settlement Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors Supporting business development opportunities where appropriate About You 7+ years' Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy environment Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification Strong estimating and cost planning experience Proficient in CostX or similar estimating software Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities A proactive, professional approach with the confidence to manage client relationships Experience gained in the UK or on major international projects will also be highly regarded. Especially if you have been exposed to Datacentre work.
