We're looking for an experienced landscape gardener who takes genuine pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and values quality. About the Role This is a permanent, full-time position working across a portfolio of premium properties. Key Responsibilities Precision hand pruning of ornamental trees, shrubs and hedges. Specialist pruning, shaping and topiary. Fine detailing and presentation of high-end gardens. Planting and establishment of trees, shrubs and perennials. Plant identification and ongoing plant health care. Lawn renovation, edging and premium turf maintenance. Irrigation inspections, troubleshooting and minor repairs. Pest, disease and weed identification and management. Soil improvement, fertilising and mulching. Seasonal garden maintenance and enhancement. Safe operation and maintenance of professional horticultural equipment. Assisting with landscape enhancement and installation projects as required. Working both independently and collaboratively within a professional team. Delivering exceptional service and maintaining excellent relationships with clients. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who not only has excellent horticultural skills but also enjoys being part of a professional team and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Applicants must have: A positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for horticulture. A minimum of 2 years' practical experience in professional horticulture or landscape maintenance. Excellent plant knowledge and advanced hand pruning skills. Experience maintaining high-end gardens to an exceptional standard. Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and fellow team members. A friendly, respectful and reliable approach that contributes to a positive workplace culture. A willingness to learn, accept feedback and continually develop your skills. A full New Zealand Driver Licence (or the ability to obtain one). A high level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors year-round. Employment Details Position: Full-time, Permanent Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown and surrounding Queenstown Lakes District properties. Guaranteed minimum hours: 30 hours per week.
