English Teacher – General English & EAP Program

ELICOS English Teachers – 2 Positions Available 📍 Location: Brisbane, QLD 🏢 Company: Gamma College 🕒 Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time Gamma College is a CRICOS-registered education provider with campuses in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. We are committed to delivering high-quality English language programs to international students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Due to continued growth, we are seeking two passionate and experienced ELICOS English Teachers to join our Brisbane team. The successful candidates will deliver General English and/or English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes to adult learners in a supportive, inclusive and student-focused learning environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging General English classes from Pre-Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate levels and/or EAP classes Deliver lessons using the National Geographic Learning – Life English textbook series and supporting teaching materials Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities and supplementary resources aligned with the approved curriculum Assess and monitor students’ language development and academic progress Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and academic records Provide constructive feedback and support to students Participate in staff meetings, professional development and academic moderation activities Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment Essential Requirements A recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent A recognised TESOL qualification, or a recognised Education degree that includes a TESOL methodology component Experience teaching English to speakers of other languages, with at least one year of experience preferred Strong classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to deliver structured lessons using prescribed textbooks and curriculum materials Current Australian working rights Desirable Attributes Previous experience teaching within an ELICOS or CRICOS-registered institution Experience teaching General English and/or EAP Familiarity with the National Geographic Learning – Life English textbook series Understanding of the ELICOS Standards and NEAS quality principles Flexibility to teach different English levels and class schedules Confidence using digital teaching platforms and educational technology How to Apply Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter through SEEK, outlining your teaching experience, qualifications, availability and the English levels or programs you are confident teaching.
