This role requires traveling to Saraburi on a weekly basis. Open to be based out of Bangkok or Saraburi. Job Purpose The Assistant Sales Manager will drive sales growth and business development activities across retail and modern trade customers. In this role, you will identify growth opportunities, develop strategic customer plans, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory (FSQR), and Supply Chain to deliver customer-focused solutions and execute business strategies that support revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the food industry, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate market insights into business opportunities. Key Accountabilities Manage and grow business with assigned retail and modern trade customers to achieve sales and revenue targets. Develop and execute customer and channel growth strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to drive profitable growth. Collaborate with Account Managers and customers to evaluate business requirements and deliver value-added solutions. Work closely with FSQR, R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support customer projects, product development initiatives, and commercialization activities. Monitor market activities, competitive landscape, consumer trends, and channel developments to identify opportunities and risks. Prepare business cases, pricing proposals, and return on investment assessments for growth opportunities. Develop strategic business plans and provide market insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations. Support new product launches and customer development projects from concept through commercialization. Travel regularly to customer sites and industry events to strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Nutrition, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Experience in the food industry, ideally working with food ingredients, food manufacturing, FMCG, or foodservice customers. Experience managing retail and/or modern trade customers would be a plus Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including FSQR, R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain. Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Willingness and ability to travel as required. Ideal Candidate Profile We're looking for a commercially minded food industry professional who understands retail and modern trade channels and can partner effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a food-related educational background, experience working across functions such as FSQR, R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain, and be comfortable traveling to support customer growth and business development initiatives.
