We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecom Software Engineer (.NET/C#) to develop and maintain backend services for advanced telecommunications investigation and analytics platforms. Responsibilities • Develop and maintain telecommunications protocol decoders for LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and WCDMA. • Implement chipset-specific updates based on Interface Control Document (ICD) specifications from major chipset vendors. • Decode and analyse throughput metrics, including PDSCH, PUSCH, and MAC downlink/uplink scheduled throughput. • Design and implement assignment orchestration systems, such as state machines and work-order executors. • Develop and enhance map user-interface components and geospatial visualisation features. • Optimise database and application performance using SQL Server and T-SQL. • Resolve chipset-specific decoder issues and troubleshoot production defects. • Manage release processes, including changelog preparation, code freezes, and user manual updates. • Participate in architecture reviews, sprint activities, and maintain technical documentation. Requirements Must-have: • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or an equivalent discipline. • Four to seven years of strong development experience in C# and C/C++. • Deep understanding of telecommunications protocols, including LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and WCDMA. • Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL. • Ability to interpret complex chipset ICD specification documents from multiple chipset vendors. • Ability to produce clear technical documentation, including user manuals, release notes, and changelogs. • Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams. • Customer-oriented approach to resolving production defects and L3 escalations. Nice-to-have: • Understanding of network protocol stacks, including NAS, RRC, RLC, MAC, and PHY. • Experience decoding chipsets from major chipset vendors. • Experience reading and implementing chipset ICD specifications. • TypeScript development experience for map or user-interface components. • Experience with protocol-analysis tools. • Experience in telecommunications analytics or network optimisation. • Experience handling large datasets and high-performance parsing.
