IB/IGCSE/A-levels Mathematics and Science NET Teacher (Full-time/Contractor)

About the role ME Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate IB/IGCSE/A-levels Mathematics and Science Native English Teacher to join our education team in Hong Kong SAR. This is a full-time position available on a contractor basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the educational experiences of our students, delivering high-quality instruction in Mathematics and Science to foster academic excellence and a genuine love of learning. As a tutor, you will be instrumental in helping students develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong foundation in these fundamental disciplines. Key responsibilities Arrive punctually for all scheduled classes. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IB/IGCSE/A-levels Mathematics and Science lessons tailored to students' individual learning needs and proficiency levels, for both international and local students in Hong Kong. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity and intellectual growth Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, and provide constructive feedback to support continued development Develop and utilise innovative teaching strategies, resources and technology to enhance student engagement and comprehension Communicate regularly with students and their families regarding academic progress, achievements and areas for improvement Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance and achievements Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a supportive educational community Stay current with developments in IB/IGCSE/A-levels Mathematics and Science education and incorporate evidence-based teaching practices into your instruction What we're looking for Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Mathematics, Science or a related discipline Teaching qualification or recognised teaching certificate (such as PGCE, or equivalent international qualification) Teaching experience in IB, AS & A-Levels, IGCSE, AP, or DSE and a proven score improvement record among past students are pluses. Proven experience teaching Mathematics and/or Science at secondary or tuition centre level Strong subject matter expertise with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accessibly Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and abilities Proficiency in using digital learning tools and educational technology A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for fostering student success and growth What we offer At ME Education, we value our educators and are committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment.
