Building Surveyor

Hays are currently recruiting a Registered Building Surveyor to join a leading architectural, compliance & building firm who specialises in commercial and industrial building design and construct across Western Australia. This is an in-house position with excellent support and a team of 3 other building surveyors. You will work on landmark projects, providing expert advice and compliance oversight from concept through to handover. Your role will include: Residential, commercial and industrial building projects Building Code of Australia (NCC) compliance assessments Site inspections and reporting Working closely with architects, builders and consultants Developing practical building surveying skills with ongoing mentoring Advising on BCA/NCC requirements and alternative solutions Supporting design and construction teams with regulatory guidance Liaising with clients, councils, and contractors Preparing documentation for permits and approvals Working directly with clients and travelling to the site 1-2 times a month Co-ordinating and working within a team that includes an ESD consultant What you'll need to succeed You must be currently registered with the AIBS or be eligible to register within the next 6 months Relevant degree within Building Surveying Strong understanding of WA building codes and regulations Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience with commercial and industrial projects preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Driving Licence Strong communicator, motivated and has a positive attitude Excellent attention to detail What you'll get in return Work directly with Global Clients Competitive salary package Excellent team culture Work alongside highly professional experts Working on a dynamic range of creative projects Work alongside other surveyors and support architects What you need to do now If you're a qualified building surveyor in Western Australia or in the process of registering in the next 6 months then click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
