About the role We are seeking a talented and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team at KARWIN THAI ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRIAL LIMITED' in Phan Thong, Chon Buri. As a full-time Procurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations by managing the procurement of materials, equipment and services. What you'll be doing Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient supply of materials, equipment and services Negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and monitoring supplier performance to meet cost targets and project timelines. Conducting market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products and technologies that can improve our operations. Stay updated on market trends, materials innovation, and supply risks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate procurement needs Maintaining accurate records and reporting on procurement activities and KPIs Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations Analyze technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate materials, components, and suppliers. Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Production teams to define procurement needs for new or existing projects. Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability. Maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, supplier records, and compliance files. Coordinate with the QA team to ensure incoming parts meet quality standards and certifications. Support cost reduction initiatives and supplier development programs. What we're looking for Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in the manufacturing industry Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain best practices Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills Proficiency in data analysis and the use of procurement software and systems Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to identify and resolve procurement challenges Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Strong understanding of engineering specifications and industrial materials (e.g., metals, plastics, machined parts). Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software. Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills. Fluent in English and proficient in technical documentation. Buyer/Purchaser Key Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials, ensuring timely sourcing from reliable local suppliers. Coordinate with internal departments and production teams to align procurement plans with project schedules. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best quality, price, and delivery terms. Monitor and follow up on purchase orders and material delivery to prevent production delays. Maintain supplier records, quotations, and procurement reports accurately. Support cost reduction and vendor development initiatives. Address any supply or delivery issues promptly to avoid impact on production. 🎯 Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field . 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (manufacturing industry preferred). Knowledge of local supplier sourcing , materials planning, and procurement processes. Strong negotiation, coordination, and communication skills. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP/MRP systems . Able to communicate in English or Chinese is an advantage.
