We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Data Engineering with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for design, develop, and optimize data storage solution and pipeline. Ensuring the data quality and workflows are scalable and efficient for our food tech products and platforms. As part of our innovative food tech start up, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that revolutionize the food industry and enhance our database solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop a data pipeline for ETL/ELT processes. Design and optimizing data storage solutions (Data warehouse, Data lake, etc.). Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and error handling. Automate and improve data processes and workflows for scalability and efficiency. Implement data security to protect data privacy and ensure regulatory compliance. Deploy and manage data solutions on cloud platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization and deliver relevant data sets. Stay up-to-date on cloud-based data engineering technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, application system development. Proficiency in SQL, Python, Linux/Unix. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. Familiar with Docker Have experience in using database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS or GCP) Experience with scheduler tool such as Airflow, SSIS. Understanding of CI/CD, SDLC for Microservices Architecture. Experience with data processing tools such as Spark and Hadoop Familiarity with data visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau Experience with distributed databases such as Redshift will be a plus. Having an experience of unstructured data for business Intelligence or computer science would be advantageous. Strong communication and great teamwork abilities. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
