Position : Sales Executive (Foodservice) Department : Sales Reports to : Sales Manager/ General Manager Location : Shah Alam Bidfood Malaysia is committed to delivering excellence in food distribution and retail solutions. As part of our expansion plan, we are looking for passionate and driven Sales Executives (Junior & Senior) to grow our presence across hotels, restaurants, cafés, and catering businesses. This role focuses on developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sustainable revenue growth within the Foodservice/ HoReCa channel. Job Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Identify, develop, and grow new and existing accounts within hotels, restaurants, cafés, and catering businesses. Achieve assigned sales targets and margin objectives within the designated territory. Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs and uncover upselling opportunities. Introduce new products aligned with customer menu requirements, seasonal trends, and cost considerations. Customer Relationship Management Manage and review assigned customer accounts through regular market visits. Build strong working relationships with chefs, kitchen teams, purchasing personnel, and business owners. Provide product recommendations, samples, and menu suggestions to support customers’ business growth. Respond promptly to customer feedback, delivery issues, and service gaps to maintain high customer satisfaction. Order Coordination & Operational Support Ensure accurate order processing and effective communication with warehouse and logistics teams. Monitor product availability and provide alternatives when required. Support customers during peak seasons and festive periods to ensure consistent supply. Market Execution & Event Management Align with immediate superior on planning and executing in-store activations, roadshows, and promotional events. Plan, negotiate, and execute sell-out activities with key customers to drive product visibility and sales. Market Intelligence & Reporting Monitor competitor activities, pricing movements, and market trends within the HoReCa industry. Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory updates to management. Share insights to support product positioning and business planning. Account Receivables & Debt Management Proactively manage account receivables Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collection in accordance with company credit terms. Responsible for debt collection and resolving overdue payments in collaboration with the finance team. Others Perform any other duties or ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Sales Manager or General Manager as required. Job Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary, or related field. Minimum 1–2 years (Junior) / 3–5 years (Senior) of sales experience in Foodservice, HoReCa, or FMCG distribution. Experience dealing with hotels, restaurants, cafés, or catering businesses is highly preferred. Strong understanding of food products and kitchen operations is an advantage. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage territory independently. Good follow-up and problem-solving abilities. Willing to travel within assigned territories. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Fresh graduates with strong interest in foodservice sales are encouraged to apply for Junior roles.
