Senior Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Finance Manager (Head of Finance) to lead the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting functions, including financial strategy, operational finance, governance, compliance, and business performance management across the organization. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, profitability, cost efficiency, and sustainable growth while ensuring strong financial controls, transparency, and operational excellence across retail, distribution, and e-commerce businesses. Acting as a key business partner to the Country Head, and senior leadership team, the position provides strategic financial insights to support business expansion, new brand development, store rollout, investment planning, and regional growth initiatives. The role also works closely with regional finance teams to ensure alignment in financial policies, reporting standards, budgeting frameworks, governance practices, and operational efficiencies across multiple entities and countries. Main Duties & Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Lead overall financial planning and strategy aligned with company growth objectives and expansion plans Provide strategic financial insights to support business expansion, new brands, store rollout, and regional growth initiatives Drive EBIT improvement, profitability enhancement, and long-term financial sustainability Act as a trusted advisor to the Country Head, and senior leadership team on financial risks, opportunities, investment decisions, and business strategies Support evaluation of new business initiatives, brand portfolios, CAPEX investments, and expansion projects Partner with business leaders to optimize commercial and operational performance P&L Management & Performance Control Own full company P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow visibility Monitor and control monthly financial performance, including Sales, GP, EBIT, PE%, and operating expenses Analyze profitability by business unit, brand, and channel (Retail / Distribution / E-commerce) Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans to improve profitability and operational efficiency Ensure strong financial discipline and accountability across departments Budgeting, Forecasting & Investment Planning Lead annual budgeting processes and rolling forecasts across all business units Track budget versus actual performance and conduct detailed variance analysis with actionable recommendations Ensure alignment between financial targets and operational execution plans Evaluate, plan, and control CAPEX and investment proposals Drive cost optimization and financial discipline throughout the organization Support strategic business planning and scenario analysis Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Strengthen cash flow planning, liquidity management, and working capital optimization Optimize capital structure and funding strategy to support business growth Manage financial instruments and treasury activities, including: Interest rate exposure Short-term and long-term financing arrangements Ensure compliance with banking covenants, financial obligations, and financing agreements Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders Financial Reporting, Compliance & Governance Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes with accuracy and transparency Lead external and internal audit processes and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial policies Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and regional reporting standards Improve financial systems, reporting efficiency, automation, and data visibility Ensure strong governance, credibility, and sustainability of financial operations Collaborate with regional finance teams to align reporting standards, policies, and governance practices across markets Team Leadership & Organization Development Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Finance & Accounting team Build scalable finance structures and capabilities to support regional expansion and organizational growth Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence Enhance financial awareness and capability across the organization Support talent development, succession planning, and team engagement initiatives Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred Minimum 8–12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and governance practices Proven experience in full P&L ownership, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls Experience in retail, distribution, FMCG, or multi-entity / multi-country environments is highly preferred Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and strategic business partnering capability Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills High integrity, attention to detail, adaptability, and proactive mindset Experience with ERP systems, financial automation, and reporting tools is an advantage
