You may be someone with 1-2 years' professional accounting experience or a recent university graduate in Accounting or Finance looking for your first full-time role. With a supportive, tight-knit team culture and a strong emphasis on professional growth, this business is seeking a high performing Accounting graduate to join their dynamic finance function. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and a broad introduction to financial accounting in a high-growth environment. The Challenge Reporting to the Head of Finance, your key responsibilities will include: Accounts Payable: Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, including supplier invoice processing, AP reconciliations, GL coding accuracy, vendor communication and supporting the implementation of automated invoice processing workflows. Accounts Receivable: Upload and record customer deposits, reconcile customer payments, manage outstanding receivables, process customer returns and faulty credits, and resolve sales order and payment queries in a timely manner. Banking & Cash Management: Process and reconcile daily banking transactions, including cash, EFTPOS, online sales and merchant facilities. Investigate variances, post credit card transactions and support accurate cashflow reporting. Supplier & Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with external suppliers through timely invoice processing, statement reconciliations, query resolution and accurate record keeping. Month-End Finance Support: Assist with month-end close activities, including GL journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, AR/AP statement reviews and supporting financial reporting requirements. Payroll Support: Assist with payroll preparation, including gathering and validating payroll data, maintaining accurate records and resolving payroll-related queries. Systems Automation & Process Improvement: Support finance transformation initiatives, including IT and automation projects, system testing, process improvements and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and reduce manual processing. General Finance Support: Provide ad hoc support to the finance team across transactional accounting activities and continuous improvement initiatives as required. The Expertise Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following: A recent graduate with a degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field 6-18 months experience with financial reporting (internships included) will be highly regarded but is not essential.
