Job Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day DBA operations including database setup, deployment, backup design, patching and upgrade version. Troubleshoot database and server issues with a hands-on approach to ensure system stability and performance. Monitor and optimize database performance by minimizing downtime and tuning queries and parameters for fast response times. Support database-related service requests such as data changes, data inquiries, and DB object deployments. Able to perform out of business hour support as required. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database scalability, security, and availability. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line operations. Scripting skills in Linux or Shell. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or related field 5 years of DBA experience, including 1–2 years in cloud platforms (AWS, HWC and GCP) Hands-on experience with cloud databases (RDS, Aurora, MongoDB and Redis) Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL Familiar with Linux/Unix or Shell scripting Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically and service mind
