Job Responsibilities Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization. Provide production support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Graduated from one of the Top 20 universities in Malaysia (or a university ranked within the Top 1,000 in the QS World University Rankings), with a minimum GPA equivalent to a B average (CGPA 3.0/4.0 or above). Solid experience in Windows and Linux system administration, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve common system issues. Good understanding of server deployment, networking fundamentals, and the installation, configuration, and maintenance of common infrastructure services. Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, preferably Shell or Python, with experience in automation. Familiarity with common programming languages and the application deployment lifecycle (e.g., CI/CD, web application deployment). Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to produce technical documentation and collaborate effectively across teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
