About the role Fabrinet Co., Ltd. is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our team in Chonburi. This is a full-time position based at our Chonburi facility. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our operations. This position is integral to supporting our business objectives and enabling our organisation to operate efficiently in an increasingly connected environment. What you'll be doing Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime Configure and manage network security protocols and access controls to protect company data and systems Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patches to keep systems current and secure Document network configurations, procedures, and changes for audit and compliance purposes Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support network-related requirements and projects Provide technical support and guidance to end users on network connectivity and related issues Monitor bandwidth usage and optimise network performance to support business operations Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and best practices in the industry What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar network administration role Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing technologies Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or similar platforms Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-level networking equipment from major vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei Solid understanding of network security principles and firewalls Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable Experience with cloud networking or software-defined networking (SDN) is a plus What we offer At Fabrinet Co., Ltd., we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding workplace. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
