Chief Education Officer

Roles & Responsibilities: Report to the General Secretary of the Association Supervise schools development and operation of the Association’s education services; lead the department in formulating and executing strategic plans for enhancing the quality of education to meet the needs and sustain development amid changing operating environment Oversee and co-ordinate the work of all principals under his/her supervision in the execution of policies determined by the Board of Directors and its IMC or SMC Be responsible for planning, co-ordination and implementation of the school development of the Association Develop new education services as endorsed by the Education Committee Ensure the education services area meets all current legislative, regulatory, professional and quality standards Serve as the Secretary of the Education Committee Perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Board or the General Secretary Requirements: Hold a recognized higher degree preferably in Education or related disciplines At least 10 years’ experience in education or related sector with at least 5 years in a leadership position NGO working experience is preferred Have strong leadership, entrepreneurial mind, strategic thinking, excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills Have dedication to education and good knowledge of the trends of the educational system Comprehensive knowledge of the operation of self-financed institution and/or international school is desirable and preferable Be resourceful, innovative and dynamic Demonstrated capacity to gain trust and work effectively in a team environment Have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) Be familiar with CAP 279 We offer 5-day work with good remuneration and fringe benefits, including annual leave, family leave, birthday leave, paid sick leave, marriage leave, compassionate leave, maternity/paternity leave, study subsidy and medical insurance to the right candidate on a contract basis.
