Support Engineer ATG Avionix Sdn. Bhd., a proud subsidiary of Ancom Nylex Berhad , is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at KLIA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of airport systems, particularly A-CDM ramp display systems and supporting our broader IT infrastructure. What You Will Be Doing: Provide Technical Support : Deliver first-level support for A-CDM ramp display systems and related airport technologies. Monitor System Infrastructure : Monitor and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services to ensure system availability and performance. Maintain Databases : Perform routine SQL database maintenance, including backups, updates, and performance optimization. Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve server configuration, network, and system-related issues in a timely manner. Escalate Complex Problems: Coordinate with higher-level support teams and relevant stakeholders to resolve advanced technical issues. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to implement technical solutions and system improvements. Document Support Processes: Maintain accurate documentation of common issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures. Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Support the enhancement of internal knowledge bases and processes to improve support efficiency and service quality. What We’re Looking For: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Cloud & Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), server configurations, and network protocols. Database & SQL Skills: Familiarity with SQL databases and experience in database maintenance and troubleshooting. Airport System Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with airport operations, air traffic management, and A-CDM principles is an added advantage. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Communication Skills: Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu, both written and spoken. Communication & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Adaptability & Commitment: Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Continuous Learning Mindset: Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and operational requirements. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
