Savour and Grace is seeking a confident and capable individual to join our fast-paced finance team to deliver vital administrative and operational support, ensuring smooth daily workflows and accurate financial data. This varied role is responsible for business credit control and financial account administration. Position requires continuous , clear communication with the broader Savour and Grace team and key stake holders. Would suit someone seeking change from the corporate world to be part of a growing and successful, mid sized, food business. Operating Mon to Fri business hours with weekends back to yourself, connected to hospitality and premium food - position is office based 8.30am to 4.30pm Full training and ongoing support provided. Melbourne Metro based. Salaried employment with potential to be part of profit share program. Professional, friendly team environment with scope for further career development. OBJECTIVES/ KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE: Business objectives ● Manage customer credit and debt collection processes Respond to internal and external finance queries ● Administer and process payments from customers via EzyCollect portal ● Support data entry including daily EFT transactions and supplier invoices ● Assist with month-end entries and data reconciliations ● Communicate clearly and regularly with customers about accounts via email and phone calls, including sending statements and customer invoice payment information (30-, 60-, and 90-day reminders) ● Liaise with Warehouse staff and Sales team about invoice management, including communicating key payment dates and daily no deliveries ● Support set up of new customer credit applications and new supplier management ● Meet key debt management financial targets ● Maintain empathetic professional relationships with customers, suppliers and make strategic judgements about best credit control strategies ● Support continuous improvement for finance operations, Reports to Finance Manager Cultural Foster a respectful, positive, collaborative, and high-functioning workplace environment Communicate clearly, calmly, and effectively across Savour and Grace teams to provide high-level customer service to food professionals Contribute to the celebration of food culture, traditions, and knowledge at the heart of Savour and Grace Team/influence Actively contribute to team meetings Share knowledge, experience and strategies with team members Innovation Implement new systems as developed within finance team SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Required Personable, professional and considerate manner Previous accounting and finance skills Clear, timely communication skills Strong ability to work independently and manage own schedule at all times Attention to detail Effective time-management skills Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment when on the go Excellent literacy, numeracy, and computer skills Passion for food culture and food industry Advantageous Previous experience in a finance role Experience working with food Knowledge of the Melbourne food industry MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS/KPIS: Measurement of success ● Credit management systems are functioning effectively ● Payments are processed regularly ● Customers receive clear, timely communication about credit status and key payment dates ● Savour and Grace staff receive clear, timely communication about customer credit status, especially regarding no delivery orders ● Accounts are reconciled ● Office administration tasks are achieved KPIs/performance reviews ● CEO and Director set targets tied to profit-share arrangement ● Support & Control Manager satisfied with performance ● Invoices paid in under 35 days (on average) ● Customers receive 30-, 60-, and 90-day reminders about outstanding invoices ● Professional development ● Constant on-the-job feedback ● Annual job/salary review DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY Savour and Grace are a Melbourne-based food distribution company.
