Solution Architect

About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Solution Architect who enjoys solving complex engineering, platform challenges and leading-edge initiatives. This role is about shaping how systems are designed, integrated, secured, and delivered across a growing fintech ecosystem. You will work closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, security, and business teams to drive architecture decisions that directly impact platform scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability. The environment includes payment systems, APIs, cloud-native platforms, distributed services, integrations with banks and payment networks, and large-scale transaction processing. Key Responsibilities · Lead solution and system design activities for new initiatives and platform enhancements · Review and validate technical designs, integrations, and architecture decisions across projects · Ensure solutions align with scalability, security, resiliency, and operational best practices · Establish and maintain architecture standards, design patterns, and technical governance processes · Work closely with engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure design consistency and quality implementation · Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams on deployment architecture and operational readiness · Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies early and provide practical recommendations · Support modernization initiatives including cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems · Prepare and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution review materials · Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams when needed Requirements · Strong experience in solution architecture, system design, or senior software engineering roles · Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs, integration architecture, and cloud environments · Experience designing scalable and high-availability systems · Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Kubernetes environments · Strong understanding of application security, secure design principles, and operational considerations · Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders · Experience working in fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated environments is an added advantage Nice to Have · Experience with payment platforms, ISO8583, DuitNow, cards, eWallets, or banking integrations · Familiarity with PCI-DSS, RMiT, or security and compliance-driven environments · Exposure to event-driven architecture, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms · Experience with observability, API governance, and infrastructure automation
