Who We Are SJ Traffic Management is one of the most experienced traffic management companies in the South West region, with over 20 years of operation. With depots in Bunbury, Busselton, Albany and Esperance we provide a full range of traffic management services including Planning, Traffic Management, Event Management and Emergency Response. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Traffic Management Planner to join our growing team. Reporting to the Planning Coordinator and working closely with the Operations team, you’ll be responsible for designing and reviewing traffic management plans, consulting with stakeholders, conducting site inspections, and ensuring all plans meet legislative and safety standards. You’ll play a key role in supporting major projects and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Your Responsibilities Design and draft TMPs and TGSs in line with legislation and company policies Review and provide feedback on plans prepared by other team members Conduct risk and hazard identification, documenting controls in all plans Consult with stakeholders including clients, authorities and emergency services Conduct site inspections prior to preparing TMPs Manage permit applications and requirements in a timely manner Communicate operational requirements to the team Prepare and manage work packs for projects Identify and implement process improvement opportunities Ensure HSE compliance and suitability checks before implementation Conduct HSE compliance site inspections What You’ll Bring Advanced Worksite Traffic Management Certification (essential) Minimum two years’ experience in traffic management (essential) Two years’ experience as a planner (preferred) RapidPlan experience for the design of complex and non-complex TMPs (preferred) Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards, MRWA Code of Practice and AGTTM documents Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Sound administrative and computer literacy skills Ability to relocate to the South West within 4 weeks of commencement What We Offer Competitive salary Use of a company vehicle during work hours Opportunity to work across Bunbury, Busselton and Albany A supportive, experienced team within a well-regarded local company Eligibility Candidates must hold valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
