About the role Ever Wealth Shipping Corp Limited seeks a skilled and experienced Chartering Broker to join our dynamic team in Wong Chuk Hang, Southern District. As a Chartering Broker, you will be instrumental in negotiating and securing profitable freight contracts, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth for the organisation. Key responsibilities Source and identify suitable vessels for clients seeking to charter, ensuring optimal matching of vessel specifications with cargo requirements Negotiate charter terms including freight rates, laycan windows, loading and discharge ports, and other commercial conditions with shipowners and operators Market available vessel capacity to potential charterers and cargo interests, building and maintaining a strong client portfolio Develop and maintain relationships with ship owners, operators, and major cargo interests to secure consistent business opportunities Prepare and manage charter documentation including fixtures, contracts, and amendments Monitor market trends, freight rates, and vessel availability to provide clients with competitive and informed advice Liaise between all parties involved in a charter transaction to ensure smooth execution and compliance with agreed terms Track and manage deals through to completion, including fixture confirmation and post-fixture communications Maintain accurate records and databases of vessel information, rates, and transaction details Stay informed of industry regulations, shipping conventions, and international maritime practices What we're looking for Proven experience working as a chartering broker or in a related role within the shipping and maritime industry Strong knowledge of the charter markets, including time charter, voyage charter, and bareboat charter transactions Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships Proficiency in maritime industry software and systems, including chartering platforms and databases Detailed understanding of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, contracts of affreightment, and fixture confirmations Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Knowledge of international shipping regulations and maritime law is advantageous Fluency in English, both written and spoken; multilingual abilities are desirable Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience What we offer At Ever Wealth Shipping Corp Limited, we believe in supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our employees.
