The Opportunity As an Engineering Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering major civil and infrastructure projects from planning through to construction. You'll be trusted to: Deliver surveying services across all stages of project delivery. Operate the latest surveying technology including Leica Total Stations, GPS, UAV drones and laser scanners. Process and analyse survey data, producing accurate reports, models and plans. Work closely with project managers, engineers and construction teams to keep projects on track. Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and safety. Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to a collaborative team culture. What You'll Bring Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Surveying (or equivalent). Minimum two years' surveying experience. Australian working rights. Australian Driver's Licence and White Card. Experience with Leica equipment, 12d and Civil 3D. A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering quality outcomes. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
