The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Supply Chain Director to lead the end-to-end transformation of our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will inherit a function with foundational data visibility already in place, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and embedding an integrated planning and execution system capable of supporting sustainable, profitable growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Supply Chain Strategy & Systems Architecture Design and implement a fully integrated supply chain operating model across procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics Lead the deployment of MRP, demand and supply planning, and order management capabilities within SAP S/4HANA Build on the existing hedging policies to develop a more robust commodity risk management strategy, aligned with Finance and Commercial stakeholders Resolve existing data integrity issues and enforce master data governance standards Transform existing standalone business intelligence reports into a connected, real-time planning and execution platform 2. Planning Framework MTO & MTS Integration Implement a differentiated planning approach: MTO for Medium and High Voltage engineered products; MTS for key Low Voltage SKUs driven by statistical demand and replenishment models Design and lead the S&OP or IBP process to align demand forecasting, supply planning, production scheduling, and inventory targets with financial goals Establish segmented inventory policies safety stock, reorder points, and service level targets appropriate to each product tier Build demand sensing capabilities for the Low Voltage portfolio, integrating customer offtake patterns, channel intelligence, and market signals Ensure the planning framework connects directly to the company's financial planning cycle, enabling supply chain decisions to be made with full visibility of working capital and margin impact 3. Procurement & Supplier Management Manage strategic raw material supplier relationships, ensuring supply continuity, competitive terms, and long-term partnership value Lead commercial negotiations on copper and key materials supply agreements, leveraging market intelligence and volume commitments Establish structured supplier performance frameworks including SLAs, scorecards, and governance protocols Develop a resilient, multi-supplier sourcing strategy to reduce concentration risk on critical commodities 4. Inventory & Working Capital Management Implement real-time inventory visibility and segmentation by product type,age, and location Introduce working capital disciplines: safety stock policies, reorder points, and inventory optimisation models aligned to cash flow objectives Work closely with Finance to ensure supply chain decisions are evaluated in the context of their working capital and margin impact Reduce excess and obsolete inventory through structured, data-driven disposition processes 5. Team & Stakeholder Leadership Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team from the current baseline Act as a senior executive voice within the leadership team, influencing decisions with data, commercial acumen, and operational credibility Present supply chain performance, risks, and investment cases clearly to the CEO and Board What We Are Looking For Essential Experience 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including senior leadership roles in manufacturing environments Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (MRP, MM, PP modules) in a manufacturing context; SAP IBP experience is a strong advantage Demonstrated success transforming or building supply chain systems in complex, dynamic environments Deep experience managing commodity procurement, ideally in metal-intensive industries (copper, aluminium, steel) Proven ability to build and manage strategic supplier relationships with professionalism and commercial discipline Experience designing and implementing S&OP or integrated business planning processes that connect operational and financial planning Demonstrated understanding of mixed planning environments specifically MTO and MTS within the same organisation Personal Attributes Resilient — you do not walk away when it gets difficult Decisive — you can act with incomplete information and own the outcome Credible — suppliers, peers, and leadership teams trust you quickly Structured — you bring order to complexity without allowing bureaucracy to slow execution Commercial — you understand that supply chain exists to serve business outcomes, not the other way around Preferred (Not Essential) Experience in the wire, cable, or electrical infrastructure manufacturing sector Exposure to commodity hedging instruments or financial risk management frameworks APICS CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent professional certification About the Company We are an established power cable manufacturer supplying critical infrastructure markets across the low, medium, and high voltage segments.
