Executive Director (Part-Time) Securities Industry Association (SIA) Remote I Wellington or Auckland | 16-20 hours per week | 12-month contract About the SIA The Securities Industry Association (SIA) represents the shared interests of NZX-accredited firms. Our members include New Zealand’s leading sharebroking, wealth management, and investment banking businesses. Together, we employ over 550 accredited advisers and work with more than one million retail investors, managing investment assets exceeding $100 billion. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and well-connected Executive Director to provide stakeholder relations, executive leadership and secretariat services to the SIA on a part-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of New Zealand’s capital markets and financial services sector. Key Responsibilities • Advise the SIA on government relations strategy and maintain relationships with key politicians, officials, and regulators (e.g., MBIE, MoJ, IRD, DIA, FMA, NZX). • Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders and participate in government working groups. • Facilitate roundtable meetings with Ministers, regulators, and other stakeholders. • Coordinate submissions on government and regulatory consultations. • Arrange and attend regular meetings of member firm representatives. • Report to member firms on industry developments. About You • Proven experience in government relations, advocacy, or industry leadership within financial services or a related sector. • Strong network of contacts across government, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills. • Ability to work independently and proactively in a part-time capacity. • Experience in preparing submissions, reports, and media communications is highly desirable. Appointment & Remuneration Initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Part-time role: 16-20 hours per week, with flexibility around days and times.
