The Role As a Junior Software Developer, you’ll be part of the team building and improving the technology behind Yindii. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and international teams to turn ideas into reliable, production-ready features. This is a hands-on role. You’ll build features, write tests, fix bugs, review code, and ship software that is used by thousands of users across multiple markets. You’ll have the opportunity to work across the stack using TypeScript, Python, React, Google Cloud and Cloudflare , while learning how to build and operate software in a real production environment. Core Responsibilities Build Features: Develop and ship new features across our web applications, backend services, and internal tools. Write Quality Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using TypeScript and Python . Frontend Development: Build and improve user interfaces using React . Backend Development: Develop APIs and backend services using Python and our cloud infrastructure. Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure features are reliable and prevent regressions. Bug Fixing: Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix bugs across the application and backend. Ship to Production: Take ownership of features from development through testing, deployment, and monitoring in Google Cloud . Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Business, and Engineering team members across different countries and time zones. Continuous Learning: Learn new technologies, improve development practices, and contribute ideas to make our products and engineering processes better. Requirements Programming Foundation: Good understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, APIs, and software development practices. TypeScript / JavaScript: Comfortable with TypeScript or JavaScript and interested in building modern web applications. Python: Familiarity with Python and backend development. React: Basic experience with React or another modern frontend framework. Testing Mindset: Understands the importance of automated testing and writing code that is reliable and maintainable. Problem Solving: You enjoy debugging problems, understanding how things work, and finding practical solutions. Communication: Excellent English skills (Written and Spoken) are a must. You will work with an international team, so English is our primary language for communication. Team Player: Comfortable working collaboratively, receiving feedback, and learning from more experienced developers. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Fresh graduates with strong projects, internships, or portfolios are highly encouraged to apply. Nice to Have Flutter: Experience or knowledge of Flutter/Dart is a strong bonus. Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud platforms. Experience building or consuming REST APIs . Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows. Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or Firestore/MongoDB or any NoSQL . Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a GitHub portfolio.
