Aquaculture Technician – Hatchery Robarra | West Beach, South Australia FULL-TIME POSITION Robarra is seeking a motivated and hands-on Aquaculture Technician to join our hatchery team at West Beach, SA . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with aquatic animals, is practical and reliable, and wants to build their career in the aquaculture industry. About the Role Working as part of our hatchery team, you will be involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our aquaculture facilities and the care of fish throughout the hatchery production cycle. Your responsibilities will include: · Daily monitoring and care of fish and hatchery systems · Feeding, grading, counting and handling fish · Monitoring water quality and environmental conditions · Operating and maintaining pumps, filtration and aeration systems · Cleaning tanks, equipment and hatchery areas · Assisting with fish transfers · Recording production, water quality and animal health data · Identifying and reporting fish health or equipment issues · Following workplace health and safety, biosecurity and animal welfare procedures · General hatchery maintenance and other duties as required About You We are looking for someone who is: · Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team · Comfortable working in a hands-on, wet and physically demanding environment · Observant and able to identify changes in fish behaviour or water quality · Willing to learn and develop practical aquaculture skills · Able to work independently and follow established procedures · Committed to animal welfare, biosecurity and workplace safety Previous aquaculture, fisheries, agriculture or animal husbandry experience is highly regarded, but enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important .
