Yard Person

About the role We are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Yard Person to join a busy heavy equipment environment in South Auckland. This is a permanent role suited to someone who enjoys practical, physical work and working around heavy machinery and equipment. Key responsibilities Moving and organising heavy machinery and equipment around the yard Loading and unloading equipment, parts and materials Assisting with the preparation of machinery for delivery and collection Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe Carrying out basic checks and minor repairs where required Assisting tradespeople and technicians with general yard duties Using basic hand and power tools safely Completing regular lifting, carrying and manual handling of equipment and materials Following all workplace health and safety procedures About you Previous experience in a yard, workshop, warehouse, machinery or construction environment Basic understanding of heavy machinery and equipment Comfortable with physical work and manual handling Basic mechanical knowledge or experience with minor repairs is an advantage Reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in Able to work independently and as part of a team Good attitude and strong attention to safety Full Class 1 NZ Driver's License WTR endorsements Forklift License is a bonus The Role: South Auckland Permanent, full-time position Hands-on work around heavy equipment and machinery.
