Senior Associate - Managed Services (Digital Hub)

Sunway Shared Services Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 200301000606 (603026-A)) About the Role We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Executive to provide operational support for Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments by ensuring system availability, security, and performance. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform routine maintenance, manage incidents, and support continuous service improvement through proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and adherence to security and service management best practices. Responsibilities Monitor the Windows Server environment (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print, Hyper-V/VMware) to keep systems healthy and available. Carry out routine maintenance — patching (Ivanti/Intune), OS hardening, performance tuning, and backup checks (Veeam). Monitor cloud workloads (Huawei Cloud/Azure/AWS) in hybrid setups, tracking VM health, usage, and backup status. Maintain server and endpoint security baselines (AV/EDR, host firewall, configuration) in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Proactively detect and resolve issues before they affect service. Act as first/second-line support for Wintel incidents and service requests, restoring service quickly. Triage and resolve server, AD authentication, patching, virtualisation, and cloud connectivity issues. Investigate and respond to security incidents with the SOC (malware, suspicious logins, firewall/VPN issues). Log incidents accurately and meet agreed SLA response and resolution targets. Identify the root cause of recurring problems and apply permanent fixes. Analyse trends (patching failures, performance, AD replication, backup errors) to prevent repeat incidents. Document known errors, workarounds, and fixes to strengthen the knowledge base. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree/Master in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Windows Server administration or Wintel infrastructure support. Hands-on experience with Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File & Print Services, and Hyper-V or VMware. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including incident, problem, and change management, with the ability to meet SLA requirements. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, VMware VCP, or ITIL Foundation are an advantage.
