Job Description Manage, administer, and support enterprise and data center network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance. Implement, configure, and maintain routing, switching, wireless, and network security solutions. Perform proactive network monitoring, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization to ensure service reliability. Troubleshoot complex network incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions. Support network implementation, migration, infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh, and expansion projects. Maintain network security by supporting firewalls, VPNs, network access control, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening activities. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and operational records. Collaborate with internal teams, technology vendors, and service providers to deliver network projects and operational improvements. Ensure all network changes follow established operational standards, security policies, and change management processes. Participate in on-call support and occasional travel for project implementation or operational requirements. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise or data center network implementation, administration, operations, and support. Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching, including TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, LAN/WAN, and VPN technologies. Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent technologies . Experience supporting enterprise network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and network access control. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and resolving complex network issues. Experience in network implementation, migration, infrastructure upgrades, and technology refresh projects. Familiarity with enterprise network monitoring, management, and IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions. Experience working within IT service management processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management, is an advantage. Professional certifications such as CCNP, Aruba Certified Professional (ACP), ITIL Foundation , or equivalent will be an added advantage. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
