Lufthansa Technik is currently seeking a highly capable candidate for the position of Procurement Manager, based in Hong Kong, to ensure that the organisation is able to use the regional MRO market in Asia Pacific to its fullest potential. The incumbent will be responsible for strategic and ad-hoc sourcing, qualifying regional MRO suppliers, negotiate contracts and develop suppliers for Lufthansa Technik in the Asia Pacific region. The position reports to the Head of Procurement cMRO non-OEM at Lufthansa Technik, who is based in Germany and will be responsible for: Tasks and responsibilities Lead, conduct and coordinate purchasing projects with regards to contracted MRO services (such as but not limited to tenders and contract negotiations) for mainly 3rd party suppliers up to phase in and transition into routine operations Actively and systematically analyze, and evaluate the contracted MRO market, identify trends, opportunities and top suppliers for LHT Support the implementation of a regional material cycle Derive impulses and actions to support material availability, identify cost saving opportunities and identify productions alternatives Commercial evaluation and negotiation of offers to support optimal award decision; Support special projects (e.g. M&A, customer projects, (IT-)tools, process optimization) Other duties as assigned or required. Your Profile University degree, preferably in Engineering or Aviation Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in engineering or technical purchasing, preferably in the field of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) or similar technical services Able to work independently and possess a high level of business and project management skills Good analytical and conceptual skills Skills in structuring, disposition and planning of complex workflows and projects; likes working with teams from multiple nationalities and delivering a high level of customer service Effective communication and negotiation skills and experience in customer relationship management High ability to cope with time pressure Decisiveness, resilience and a high sense of responsibility, willing to drive changes Proficient in Microsoft Office functions and prior experience with SAP & Power BI Dashboards preferred Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) Knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese) or other Asian languages is advantageous Knowledge of the German language is beneficial Able to travel to Germany, USA and extensively within the Asia-Pacific region International Driving license is a plus when traveling to USA Ability to handle stress, positive thinking, always have a can-do attitude If this is you, please send us your detailed resume, including your current and expected remuneration.
