Plant Cost Controller

About the Opportunity A global Tier-1 automotive component manufacturer — supplying precision engine and powertrain systems to major OEMs worldwide, and actively investing in its next generation of electrified technologies — is seeking an experienced Plant Cost Controller for its Bangkok manufacturing facility. This is a high-visibility role built around deep costing ownership: full financial control, product and production costing, and performance analysis for the site — reporting directly to the Plant CEO, with a clear line of sight into regional decision-making across Asia Pacific. What You'll Own Cost planning, cost-center management and hands-on product/production costing — the core of this role End-to-end financial control for the plant: monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning Tracking of core plant performance KPIs (profitability, capital efficiency, inventory efficiency, cost savings, cash flow, labor productivity) and translating them into action for the leadership team Month-end close, SAP Controlling module oversight, and IFRS/local GAAP compliance Direct business partnering with operations, production, procurement and sales — including input into pricing and commercial negotiations Leadership and development of a team of two (costing and analysis specialists) Participation in regional finance meetings alongside APAC stakeholders Strengthening internal controls and financial risk management across the site What You Bring Background in automotive, electronics, or other precision/discrete manufacturing — costing experience from FMCG, food, or consumer goods environments is not a fit for this role Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's a plus) 8–10 years in cost control, management accounting or financial management, including 3–5 years leading a team Strong, hands-on costing background Working knowledge of SAP (Controlling module) and confidence with GAAP/IFRS Fluent English and Thai, spoken and written Professional certification (CPA, CMA or ACCA) is an advantage Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus Comfort operating in a structured, quality-driven manufacturing environment (ISO/IATF-aligned) What's on Offer Annual performance bonus: 8–15% of base salary Provident fund: 5% Health coverage via reimbursement, plus THB 15,000/year/family health allowance Monday–Friday schedule, with fewer than 10 Saturdays a year — a genuine differentiator for a plant-level finance leadership role in this sector Direct exposure to the Plant CEO and regional APAC leadership — real strategic visibility for a role at this level A natural stepping stone into senior/country-level finance leadership
