Duties and Responsibilities 1. Manage and oversee all accounting and finance activities of the company and its affiliated companies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and cash receipts and payments. 2. Ensure that all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and completely in compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations. 3. Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual account-closing processes, ensuring completion within the required deadlines. 4. Prepare and review financial statements, financial reports, and business performance analyses for presentation to management. 5. Prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitor actual performance against the budget, and analyse significant variances. 6. Plan and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations, including preparing cash flow forecasts. 7. Review and control cash receipts, payments, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely completion. 8. Oversee the issuance of invoices, receipts, tax invoices, and other accounting documents to ensure compliance with Revenue Department requirements. 9. Oversee the preparation and submission of all applicable tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and other relevant taxes, accurately and within statutory deadlines. 10. Review and control the fixed asset register, depreciation calculations, physical asset counts, asset transfers, disposals, and write-offs. 11. Develop and maintain effective internal control systems to minimise risks, prevent errors and fraud, and improve operational efficiency. 12. Establish, review, and update accounting and finance policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures to ensure alignment with business operations. 13. Coordinate with internal and external auditors, prepare supporting documentation for audits, and follow up on corrective actions arising from audit findings. 14. Coordinate with the Revenue Department, Department of Business Development, Social Security Office, banks, and other relevant external organisations. 15. Review accounts receivable, prepare accounts receivable ageing reports, and oversee debt collection activities in accordance with company policies. 16. Review accounts payable and payment plans to ensure that all company expenses are paid accurately and on time. 17. Analyse financial information, costs, revenue, expenses, and profitability, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and control costs. 18. Lead the Accounting and Finance team by setting objectives, assigning duties, reviewing performance, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. 19. Provide accounting and financial information to support new club openings, investment projects, and business expansion plans. 20. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, including a minimum of three years in a supervisory or managerial position. 3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and relevant laws and regulations. 4. Proven ability to manage account-closing processes and prepare financial statements. 5. Must hold a valid CPD license. 6. Experience managing accounting activities for multiple companies, branches, or clubs will be an advantage. 7. Strong skills in budgeting, financial analysis, financial forecasting, and cash flow management. 8. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or other ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel. 9. Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills. 10. High attention to detail, integrity, accountability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. 11. Good command of written and spoken English will be an advantage.
