You will be responsible for maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure environments while supporting modernization initiatives and emerging technologies. In this role, you'll work with some of the world's largest organizations, helping them manage complex OpenShift, virtualization, cloud, and containerized environments. No two days are the same, as you'll troubleshoot critical issues, support application deployments, automate operations, and drive continuous platform improvements. Key Responsibilities OpenShift Platform Administration Manage and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters , ensuring high availability, performance, and operational stability. Monitor cluster health and performance using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana . Administer cluster components, including nodes, networking, storage, services, routes, operators, and persistent volumes. Platform Configuration, Upgrades & Maintenance Perform OpenShift platform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching activities. Ensure platform security, compliance, and adherence to operational best practices. Implement and maintain platform standards across environments. Troubleshooting & Technical Support Diagnose and resolve issues across OpenShift infrastructure, applications, and integrations. Investigate and remediate pod failures, network connectivity issues, storage problems, and performance bottlenecks. Provide technical support and guidance to development and application teams for deployment, configuration, and performance optimization. Operator Lifecycle Management Manage the complete lifecycle of OpenShift Operators, including installation, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Ensure operators are functioning effectively and aligned with platform requirements. Virtualization & Infrastructure Management Support and maintain OpenShift deployments integrated with VMware ESXi and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments. Monitor and administer virtual machines that support the OpenShift platform and associated services. Linux & CoreOS Administration Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat CoreOS nodes within the OpenShift environment. Apply security patches, system updates, and configuration changes to maintain platform security and reliability. Logging, Monitoring & Observability Implement and manage enterprise logging and monitoring solutions including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fluentd, Kafka, Prometheus, and Grafana . Configure alerting, dashboards, and monitoring metrics to proactively identify and resolve operational issues. Automation & Infrastructure as Code Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline operational processes. Experience in vulnerability management , security hardening, and remediation activities. Administration and support of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , container platforms, and cloud-native application deployment practices. Experience managing and supporting Kubernetes/OpenShift workloads within AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments .
