We are hiring: Faults and Warranties Technician in Auckland Due to strong demand and forecast growth, we are expanding our Auckland team and are looking for a skilled diagnostic technician to lead our fault-finding and warranty work. This is a specialist role for someone who thrives on solving complex technical problems and getting systems running right — first time, every time. In this role, you will: • Diagnose and resolve faults across all major brands — Fujitsu, Panasonic, AHI Carrier, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric, and Haier • Carry out warranty repairs and manage warranty claims through to resolution with manufacturers • Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and control faults on both ducted and high-wall systems • Attend to systems in homes, offices, and light commercial buildings across the greater Auckland region • Interpret fault codes, error histories, and system data to identify root causes rather than just symptoms • Raise and process invoices to manufacturers (warranty claims) or customers (chargeable work), ensuring costs are correctly allocated and recovered • Provide a weekly analysis of faults and warranty issues — identifying recurring problems, brand or product trends, and opportunities to improve first-time fix rates • Communicate clearly with customers, explaining faults and solutions in plain language • Complete accurate service and warranty documentation • Work independently and as part of a supportive team • Support the regional teams with some travel may be required from time to time as the needs of the business dictate To succeed in this role, you will bring: • Proven fault-finding and diagnostic experience across multiple heat pump and air-conditioning brands • Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and control systems • A methodical, root-cause approach to problem solving • Experience handling manufacturer warranty processes and warranty/customer invoicing (advantageous) • Confidence working with data to spot trends and report findings clearly • A relevant trade qualification and any applicable refrigeration/electrical registration • A great attitude and commitment to quality work • Excellent communication and customer service skills • NZ Residency or Citizenship • A full, clean NZ driver's licence What we offer: • Competitive hourly rates • Work vehicle, fuel card, and phone • A positive, supportive team culture • Full-time, stable employment with a growing company
