Job Responsibilities: Oversee and take ownership of the monthly and year-end closing process , ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounts. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management accounts and financial reports in compliance with Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (MPERS) and applicable requirements. Review general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage and monitor cash flow forecasting, treasury activities, banking matters, fund planning and payment controls to support the Company's operational requirements. Support and coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts , monitor actual performance against budget and analyse significant financial variances. Prepare financial analysis and management reports to support Management in business and operational decision-making. Review manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, inventory provisions and significant cost variances , and work with relevant departments to resolve identified issues. Oversee and coordinate Malaysian taxation matters including corporate income tax, deferred tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing documentation , and liaise with tax agents or relevant authorities when required. Lead the coordination of annual external audits , including preparation and review of audit schedules, supporting documentation and resolution of audit queries. Oversee key activities relating to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and intercompany transactions , ensuring proper accounting treatment and timely reconciliation. Ensure effective internal controls, segregation of duties, approval processes, accounting documentation and compliance with Company policies and statutory requirements. Supervise and review the work of Accounts & Finance team members, provide guidance and technical support, and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines. Identify opportunities to improve accounting and finance processes, reporting efficiency, internal controls and system utilisation. Work closely with other departments, external auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant parties to resolve accounting and financial matters. Support the HOD and Management on financial analysis, special projects and other accounting or finance-related assignments. Act as a key supporting person to the HOD and take ownership of relevant Accounts & Finance matters in the HOD's absence when required . Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline . Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent will be an added advantage. Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance. Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred. At least 2 years of supervisory, team-leading or work-review experience is preferred. Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounts, month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting and management reporting . Good experience in cash flow management, treasury, budgeting and forecasting . Good knowledge of MPERS and Malaysian accounting requirements . Good working knowledge of Malaysian taxation including corporate income tax, deferred tax and withholding tax . Experience in transfer pricing, manufacturing costing and inventory accounting will be an added advantage. Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, banks and other professional parties . Able to independently identify, analyse and resolve accounting and finance issues with minimal supervision. Able to review the work of team members and provide appropriate guidance and support. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills. Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel . Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with Management and cross-functional departments. Responsible, proactive, hands-on and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
