DMW License No: DMW-418-LB-08132024-R Accreditation No: 10280720 Job Description: Prepare surfaces and apply paint finishes to a high standard using brush, roller, and spray techniques. Interpret specifications and scopes of work accurately. Maintain clean, tidy, and protected work areas. Lead painting tasks on-site and coordinate with other trades. Ensure correct use and maintenance of painting tools and equipment. Identify and communicate material requirements in advance. Prepare and repair surfaces including gib stopping, skimming, and patching. Apply plaster finishes to walls, ceilings, and architectural features. Achieve smooth, quality, paint-ready finishes with attention to detail. Mix and apply plaster compounds to required consistency. Maintain tools and ensure safe handling of materials. Maintain site tidiness including sweeping, rubbish removal, and material storage. Set up and clear work areas as needed. Operate manual vehicles and tow trailers confidently (valid license required). Perform deliveries and assist with logistics. Run job sites in the absence of a Manager or Supervisor. Communicate effectively with management, team members, subtrades, and clients. Ensure readiness for daily tasks with appropriate tools, materials, and information. Follow and enforce company health and safety policies and procedures. Use PPE and safety equipment correctly and consistently. Identify and report hazards and incidents immediately. Sign in/out of sites using the company app. Support and mentor apprentices and junior team members. Foster a collaborative and respectful team culture. Share knowledge and encourage continuous improvement. Accurately complete timesheets and site documentation. Maintain clear notes of activities, variations, and incidents. Report progress and issues to the Painting & Finishes Manager regularly. Use company vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly. Report faults or damage promptly. Ensure tools and materials are stored securely and appropriately. Skills Qualification: A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required. Candidates must be at least a high school graduate. Proven experience in painting and plastering with a high standard of finish. Strong understanding of surface preparation, materials, and application techniques. Excellent time management and organisational skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Must have experience in Heritage house, Hotel Interiors, Casinos, etc. Effective communication skills – verbal and written. Ability to work both in a team and independently. Physically fit and capable of manual work. Positive attitude, initiative, and problem-solving mindset. Commitment to health and safety.
