Key responsibilities Directly manage client tenement portfolios, acting as their primary contact to ensure every legal and regulatory obligation is met with precision Dive deep into mining and exploration law, providing clear, commercially astute advice that guides major operational decisions Advise on the critical acquisition, disposal, and amalgamation of mining assets, shaping the landscape of the industry Take ownership of the compliance lifecycle, from preparing applications, renewals, and objections to managing approvals and ensuring adherence to strict environmental and planning laws Gain unparalleled experience across a wide spectrum of legal disciplines, including mining law, environmental and planning law, Native Title, property law, contract law, and land management About you Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor Hold or intend to obtain a practising certificate while employed at Hetherington Exceptional project management and prioritisation skills, capable of managing multiple complex files with autonomy and confidence Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to build rapport and convey complex legal advice clearly to everyone from boutique explorers to top-tier public companies Keen interest in the commercial drivers of the resources industry and a natural curiosity for areas like property, contract, and environmental law Thrive in a team environment, bringing a positive, can-do attitude and a professional commitment to continuous learning and development About us Hetherington is a premier name in tenement management, legal, and environmental services, acting as the trusted partner to Australia's leading resources companies.
