You will manage high-stakes, multi-million dollar infrastructure deployments, data center migrations, cloud integrations, and enterprise network modernizations. If you are an experienced PM who takes aggressive ownership, cuts through organizational drag, holds vendor and internal teams accountable, and proactively eliminates project bottlenecks before they impact deliverables, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities 1. Aggressive Project Execution & Delivery Drive Execution: Take direct, proactive ownership of project life cycles from initiation through closure, enforcing strict deadlines and milestones. Manage Dependencies & Risks: Antagonistically seek out potential delays, architectural blockers, and supply chain lead times; develop immediate, actionable risk mitigation strategies. Vendor & Partner Management: Hold hardware, software, and cloud vendors, as well as third-party integrators, rigorously accountable to service level agreements (SLAs), delivery schedules, and scope parameters. Resource Orchestration: Direct cross-functional teams of network engineers, systems administrators, cloud architects, and security specialists to align tasks and prevent project idle time. 2. Technical Scope & Infrastructure Governance Technical Oversight: Translate business demands into clear technical deliverables across Data Centers, Cloud Environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), Enterprise Networking (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN), Cybersecurity Frameworks, and Systems Infrastructure. Scope Control: Maintain ironclad scope governance. Enforce strict change control processes to prevent scope creep while rapidly evaluating legitimate change requests for budget/timeline impact. Budget & Financial Oversight: Track expenditures, resource allocation, and CAPEX/OPEX budgets continuously to ensure delivery within approved financial parameters. 3. Stakeholder Management & High-Impact Communication Executive Status Reporting: Deliver direct, candid, and data-backed status updates to executive leadership, steering committees, and key enterprise stakeholders. Conflict Resolution: Decisively resolve technical roadblocks, resource conflicts, and cross-departmental friction points to maintain project velocity. Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all infrastructure changes strictly comply with corporate governance, ISO/NIST security standards, and operational risk policies. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Experience: Minimum 4–5+ years of dedicated IT Project Management experience, with at least 2+ years specifically leading enterprise-level IT infrastructure projects (Data Center, Cloud Migrations, Network Transformations, Systems Modernization). Certifications (is a plus): PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner required. Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe) highly desirable. AWS, Azure, Cisco, or ITIL certifications are a strong advantage. Core Technical Competencies: Solid understanding of core IT infrastructure concepts: Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Cloud Architecture (IaaS/PaaS), Storage Systems (SAN/NAS), Enterprise Networking (Firewalls, Routing/Switching, SD-WAN), and Disaster Recovery/BCP. Hands-on expertise with enterprise project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Smartsheet). Leadership Traits: Proven track record of turning around stalled or at-risk infrastructure initiatives. High emotional intelligence paired with an assertive, performance-oriented leadership style. Exceptional negotiation, conflict management, and decision-making skills under pressure.
