Town Vets is an independent, stand-alone Small Animal GP clinic dedicated to evidence-based, high-quality care for dogs and cats. We strive for the highest level of patient advocacy through evidence-based medicine and contextualized care. We keep a low-volume, high-quality caseload so our vets have the time to investigate cases thoroughly, communicate well with clients and deliver personalised care. Our close-knit team of 15 works collaboratively, supported by an experienced nursing team and Client Care team that triages and schedules consultations efficiently. The Role We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our clinical team: 4 day work week, including a shared Saturday roster — approx. 32–36 hours Weekdays : 9:00am – 5:00pm or 12:00pm – 9:00pm — no split shifts Saturdays : 9:00am – 5:00pm, shared on a rotating basis across the team No Sundays or Public Holidays No after-hours emergency duty You'll join an experienced and collaborative clinical team, supported by skilled veterinary nurses and paraprofessionals. Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based veterinary care in line with our patient advocacy standards Communicate clearly with clients on diagnosis, treatment options and cost, supporting informed decision-making Manage cases independently while collaborating with colleagues on more complex cases. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Work closely with the wider clinical team to ensure continuity of care across shifts Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practice Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Eligible for veterinary registration with AVS Minimum 5 years experience in small animal clinical practice Strong client communication and interpersonal skills Confident managing consultations and routine surgery independently Comfortable participating in a shared roster that includes day, evening and Saturday shifts Enjoys mentoring and supporting veterinary nurses, technicians and junior team members What We Offer Four day work week No after-hours emergency duty Continuing education support, with funded CPD encouraged Digital radiography, Siemens ultrasound, IDEXX in-house lab (incl. urinalysis), capnography, IM3 dental unit, digital dental radiography, vet-tome and tonometry Separate cat and dog wards Convenient location near Tiong Bahru MRT Competitive salary commensurate with experience To apply Email your CV and cover letter to Dr Chan at *email_hidden*.
