Unlimited opportunities for employee referral incentives across the organization Standard government and Emapta benefits Total of 20 annual leaves to be used on your own discretion (including 5 credits convertible to cash) Fun engagement activities for employees Mentorship and exposure to global leaders and teams Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment Qualifications That Set You Apart Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred 3-5 years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience supporting U.S.-based employees Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC , and wage and hour regulations Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience for U.S. employees Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, UKG, Gusto, or similar HRIS/payroll platforms Experience preparing Certified Payroll Reports highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Preferred Certified Payroll reporting experience, including Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage requirements HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus Experience supporting multi-state payroll and compliance Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems Key Responsibilities Human Resources Administer employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local U.S. employment laws and regulations Support benefits administration, leave management, including FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation, and employee relations Assist with policy implementation and ensure HR practices remain compliant with current legislation Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, payroll, benefits, and employment matters Support performance management, training coordination, and compliance reporting Payroll Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time Review employee time records, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings Coordinate payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements Reconcile payroll reports and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws Collaborate with Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain payroll records Certified Payroll Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports in accordance with Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage requirements Monitor prevailing wage classifications and ensure payroll compliance for government-funded projects Maintain supporting documentation for audits and compliance reviews About the Client Our client is a locally owned Hawaii construction company established in 1990, with more than three decades of successful project delivery across the islands.
