Job Summary: The Finance and Accounting Lead is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with tax and accounting standards. This role manages the month-end and year-end closing processes, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation of accounts. Additionally, it involves supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff, reviewing payroll and tax filings, and ensuring financial compliance with Thai tax and labor laws. Responsibilities: Managing and overseeing the results and deliverables of the Finance and Accounting Assistant/Associate Monthly Closing of Books for Profit and Loss, Ageing Reports (AR and AP). Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensuring timely and accurate completion of closing activities. Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. Financial Reporting Preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements). Generate accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards Bookkeeping and Recordkeeping Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts. Team Leadership and Supervision Reviewing the work of the associate for accuracy and completeness Supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and tax laws. Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns. Staying up to date on tax law changes and other compliance requirements. Payroll Checking: SSF ELF PIT Claims and Reimbursements Commissions Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is generally required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards and Financial Analysis Techniques Proficiency in accounting software (preferably at least a year working with Xero). Able to use online fintech applications and systems for payout. (Corporate Online Banking Apps and sites.) Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial reporting systems. Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset and multitasking skills. English proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders (internal and external). At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles. Experience in AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliation, and financial statements.
