Casual Stablehand

TRINDER RACING CASUAL STABLEHAND We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Stablehand to join our team, available to start immediately. Position Details: • Casual position – approximately 25–30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours • Morning shifts generally 6:30am – 12:00pm • 1–2 afternoon shifts per week with a 1–1½ hour lunch break between morning and afternoon shifts • Some Saturday morning work will be required • Weekly roster provided each Thursday for the following week Duties Include: • Leading, saddling, washing and grooming horses • Feeding, rugging and general horse care • Loading and unloading horses • Swimming and treadmill work • General stable duties • Race day assistance when required About You: • Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment • Confident and capable around horses • Previous horse handling is essential • Previous stable experience is preferred; however, training can be provided for the right applicant • Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team • Able to follow instructions and have good attention to detail • Good communication skills • Flexible with working hours • A truck licence would be advantageous, but is not essential Above award/industry rates for the right applicant, with additional race day work available.
