Roles and Responsibilities You will take up the important role of Junior Trader and will be responsible for duties including: Develop a solid understanding of CIGP’s trading workflow and assist the team in the daily trading related tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to: Perform pre-trade checks to ensure all orders comply with applicable regulations, internal policies, trading limits, and client mandates. Perform execution of trades across multiple asset classes, including equities, funds, bonds, derivatives and FX. Manage order flow and ensure accurate, timely and orderly execution of trades across relevant platforms and brokers. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all orders, executions, and transactions in accordance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Work with Portfolio Managers and Investment Managers to implement trading strategies. Communicate with clients and Relationship Managers on various account management requests including order and cash management instructions. Support the analysis of execution performance, including Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and other trading activity metrics. Assist with post-trade management, including trade reconciliation and settlement support, with Operations Team. Support the development and ongoing maintenance of existing and new brokerage relationships with Business Management Team. Interact with internal teams in Hong Kong and global offices to address ad-hoc requests. Participate in system enhancements, process optimisation initiatives, and other trading‑related projects. Assist in the development and automation of trading tools, workflows, and reporting processes. Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field 3+ years of experience working within the front or middle office in a financial institution. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Aspired to take up managerial tasks. Proficiency with Excel VBA or Python is a plus. Fluent in English (proficiency in other languages is a plus).
