About the role As Team Leader, you'll run day-to-day site operations across premier landscape construction and maintenance projects, keeping jobs running smoothly, safely, and to the highest standard. Key responsibilities Lead a small, dedicated crew, planning daily/weekly tasks and keeping motivation high Read plans, allocate resources, and oversee work across planting, lawn installation, irrigation, and site presentation Set out and assist with retaining walls, paving, edging, pergolas, decking, and concreting using levels, laser equipment, and compactors Coordinate mowing, pruning, weed control, replanting, and irrigation checks Maintain positive client relationships, spot upsell opportunities, and handle day-to-day site communications Keep accurate records including timesheets, site updates, vehicle checks, and health and safety reporting About you 5–6+ years in landscaping, ideally with commercial project experience and proven team leadership capability Strong capability across both hardscape and softscape, with the ability to read plans and organise daily work efficiently Clear, confident communication with project managers, clients, and your crew Excellent health and safety knowledge with a commitment to leading by example on site Full NZ driver licence (Class 2 and WTR are major advantages) Legally entitled to work in New Zealand and available within a reasonable timeframe Horticulture Level 4, Growsafe, First Aid, or Site Safe certifications are desirable Solid references confirming your leadership, positive attitude, and high standard of work Benefits Great pay: $35–$42/hour, depending on your experience Relocation allowance available for strong candidates moving to the area Ongoing training, certifications, and career progression support Supportive team environment backed by the resources of a leading national company Work on stunning, high-profile projects throughout the Queenstown region About us Natural Habitats Ltd is a respected national landscaping business operating in the Queenstown-Lakes District, delivering high-end landscape construction and maintenance projects. https://www.naturalhabitats.co.nz/about-us/locations/queenstown
