Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the local sales strategy in alignment with global objectives to drive revenue, gross profit and sustainable growth. Lead and grow new and existing business, including key accounts, strategic customers, agents and business partners. Set and manage sales budget, forecast, targets and KPIs, ensuring achievement of country and individual sales objectives. Lead and develop the sales team, setting clear performance expectations and building a high-performing sales organization. Drive business development, tender management and commercial activities, including pricing strategy, negotiation and closing of opportunities. Strengthen key account management and customer relationships through effective account planning, business reviews and retention strategies. Develop local sales and marketing initiatives to strengthen market presence, customer engagement and company brand awareness. Ensure effective implementation of global sales standards, CRM processes and compliance, while providing commercial direction to relevant business functions. Qualifications Technical Competence: Deep understanding of the logistics, air and sea freight forwarding market, including Röhlig’s product portfolio and value proposition. Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry, including at least 5 years in sales, with a proven track record of success. Leadership & People Skills: Strong ability to set goals, develop and motivate people, build high-performing teams, manage different personalities and cultures, handle conflicts, and build trust. Entrepreneurial & Strategic Mindset: Customer-focused, commercially minded and strategic, with the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, balance short- and long-term objectives, and make sound business decisions. Personal Attributes: Passionate, resilient, accountable, ethical and courageous, with a humble and open mindset, strong ownership, and a continuous learning attitude. Functional Competence: Able to manage complexity, work collaboratively across functions and cultures, understand financial considerations, leverage digital tools, and reflect on decisions to continuously improve.
