Conquest is a private equity real estate firm with holdings in both Sydney, Australia and London, UK. With 21 years of experience delivering institutional real estate across three core sectors—Residential, Retail and Hotels—the firm is strategically positioned to capitalise on opportunities in both markets. We require a paralegal to join our highly productive team, and be dynamic in their approach, and someone who has had exposure to an ambit of different areas of law or disciplines within highly regulated industries and can demonstrate the ability to apply commercial acumen and analytical skills to their work daily. You must have the ability to take on other ad hoc tasks, be a part of the strategic side of the work and tasks by executing the work efficiently and diligently, and have great attention to detail and the ability to work alongside the COO on all matters. Expectations of the role: Experience in property and development matters, from complex site acquisition transaction to off the plan conveyancing, all gained within a recognised Property law team, as well as detailed experience in corporation law and running key aspects of certain front end and back end general matters. Exposure to banking and finance law, financial services or insurance and other disciplines will be advantageous. Able to pivot and change with priorities or competing priorities, and drive outcomes and end results. Effective and clear and concise communication skills Be a 'self-starter' with an approachable manner/able to assist others in a team environment. Driven on a 'merit-based' culture i.e. recognising effort & results! General administrative duties and day-to-day operations of files, and managing costs and fees. Preparing matters for meetings, conferences and hearings, including collating and drafting up legal documents and general correspondences Using your high attention to detail to draft high level documents, correspondences and applying those skills across multiple disciplines is key. Cultivating strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders Contribute to the company’s learning and development program in area of specialty Contribute knowledge and learning resources, including precedents and processes and procedures.
