About the role We are seeking an HR Generalist specialising in Employee Relations to join our Human Resources team at LIFEBANK-A RURAL BANK in Iloilo, Western Visayas. This is a full-time position based in our Iloilo office. As HR Generalist - Employee Relations, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining positive employee relationships, fostering a culture of engagement and ensuring our workplace operates in accordance with sound industrial and employee relations practices. Your work will directly impact employee satisfaction, retention, and organisational performance across our rural banking operations. Key responsibilities Manage employee relations programmes and initiatives, including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in industrial and employee relations Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring fairness, confidentiality and compliance with relevant legislation Provide coaching and support to line managers on employee relations matters and HR best practices Facilitate employee engagement activities and communication programmes to foster a positive workplace culture Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in compliance with data protection and employment law requirements Collaborate with other HR functions to ensure consistency in HR service delivery across the organisation Monitor and advise on employment legislation changes and ensure organisational compliance Support the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role, with substantial focus on employee relations and industrial relations Strong knowledge of Philippine employment law, labour codes, and regulatory requirements Proven experience in managing employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace disputes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism Problem-solving skills and the ability to provide pragmatic solutions to complex employee relations issues Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications Understanding of banking or financial services industry is advantageous Certification in HR or Employee Relations from a recognised professional body is preferred What we offer At LIFEBANK-A RURAL BANK, we recognise that our employees are our greatest asset.
