Job Summary ZUS Coffee is looking for an experienced and detail-driven Assistant Accounting Manager to support the Accounting Manager in overseeing the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for supervising a team of accountants, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end closing, strengthening internal controls, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who is ready to take on greater ownership and mentor junior team members within a fast-growing retail and F&B business. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Accounting Manager in supervising and reviewing the daily work of the accounting team, including AP, AR, and general ledger functions. • Oversee and review month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations are accurate and completed on schedule. • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules prior to management submission. • Ensure compliance with Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS), tax regulations (VAT, WHT, corporate income tax), and other statutory requirements. • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies during audits and statutory filings. • Strengthen and monitor internal controls and accounting policies/procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. • Coach, train, and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and company policies. • Liaise with cross-functional departments (Operations, Supply Chain, HR) to resolve accounting and reporting issues. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. • Solid knowledge of Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS), tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements. • Proven experience managing month-end/year-end closing processes and preparing financial statements. • Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Good communication skills in Thai and English, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments and with external parties. • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. • Experience in retail, F&B, or multi-branch business operations is a strong advantage.
